OUR HOTEL
Located across from the gates of the historic paper mill in a designated National Historic District of Canada, the Rodmay Heritage Hotel is the jewel in the collection of fine historic buildings to be found in this well-preserved and intact Garden City community.

Construction began on the original building in 1910 with it opening in the spring of 1911. The hotel was added on to in the 1920's and 30's and still retains its heritage ambiance and architecture including a grand lobby and double staircase.

After being closed for several years, the hotel has been undergoing renovations and remodelling and the businesses located within its historic walls are being revived to provide a full hospitality package for all our guests.

We offer a full service facility with rooms, suites, restaurant, meeting areas, banquet room, liquor store, pub, and retail shopping all under one roof.

The heritage character of 6251 Yew Street, formerly 2nd Street and Elm Avenue, is found in the following elements:

• irregular pie-shaped configuration of lot that    determines building geometry

• Relationship with other buildings within
   the Townsite
• Relationship with the mill site
• Orientation to the steamship dock
• Continuous use as a hotel
• Connection with social history and sporting    activities
• Characteristics of the Frontier style including    central entrance steps, form and pattern of    fenestration, balconies and gables to either    side of central section
• Mission revival façade, complete with stucco    and decorative ceramic tiles
• Interior staircase encompassing an    Inglenook fireplace
